Plan Your Field Trip
The Dallas Zoo welcomes groups and organizations throughout the year for WILD field trips!
Field trips are a great way to spark and maintain a child’s interest in animals, nature, the environment, science, and more!
Groups must preregister at least two weeks in advance of their scheduled date to qualify for the discounted rate.
Who is eligible?
- Public or private schools
- Preschools
- State licensed day cares
- Home school groups
- Scouts
- Church groups
- Shelters
- City of Dallas recreation centers
- YMCA / YWCA
- Boys & Girls Clubs
- Organized college classes (where a teacher is bringing the students for a class project)
Admission Cost

$6 per student
- $6 per adult (Teachers and Parents). Parents must pay at the gate on arrival.
- The Dallas Zoo welcomes school groups throughout the year for WILD field trips at a discounted rate of $6 per guest.
Parking Cost
- Free for school buses
- $10 per additional vehicles
- Note: Parking is limited on high-capacity field trip days. Parents and chaperones not riding the bus are highly encouraged to carpool or take the DART Red Line straight to our front entrance.
